New Year Resolutions....

It's the time of the year when everyone has made one or more resolution for the new year 2007. Obese people are on a diet, smokers have quit fags, students are studying, parents are spending more quality time with their kids and so on and so forth. But let me remind you that it's just the second day of the year!

This year is a crucial year for me since in two months time I'll be a dad for the first time. So my most important resolution for this year is to definately find or create time for my (our) newborn and wife. At least I have to manage to stick to this resolution even though I have never managed to stick to my new year's resolutions and no matter how hard I tried I would go back to the same routine after a month or so. If I had to make some other resolutions for the coming year they would be these (Please note the bold If I had to...):

• be on time for work, meetings, training sessions and everything I do.


• spend less time on online football management games.


• be more tolerant with my mother in law.


• manage my road rage better.


• wash my car more often (at least once a month).


• be less arrogant with arrogant people.


• try to read and write more.


• give in my reports and tasks on time.


• answer my important emails on time.


• try to go to mass on Sunday.

I've been working on some of these for the past decade or so.... but I have never succeeded. Maybe 2007 is my lucky year.....no I'm sure 2007 is my lucky year and I'll be a better man.

To Blog or not to Blog......

What the hell is blogging anyway?? According to the thesaurus the noun blog means.... a shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences and hobbies!!!! It's actually a web log, like an online diary. Since I've never kept a diary it was going to be hard.
I've opened my blog nearly a year ago and since then I've only posted in it once! Pretty nice you'd say.... but now i've decided to return to this online, virtual, cybernetical diary writing.
But why??? Who knows..... it's probably all in the mind as OASIS put in their album 'Heathen Chemistry'. Many things happened to me lately that I think they sparked off again the writing part of me that was hidden somewhere deep inside of me.
But what shall I write?
Probably non-sense and other similiar stuff that might be worthwhile sharing with the world outside. Daily happenings, shitty days, writings triggered by a book or a song or a phrase maybe, in Maltese or in English, who knows.... let's give it a good shot and try to blog in this blogoworld or blogosphere or whatever!!!!
Anyway i'll make this Blog my playground and I'll end with this phrase I read recently: "Let your child within you run free. A child kept from play is an abused child."
